Sal Alosi has established himself as a leader in the strength and conditioning field, with a career spanning over two decades. His extensive background includes working with NFL athletes, collegiate sports teams, and local fitness enthusiasts. Before founding Fortitude Gym HQ, Sal’s career was marked by achievements at the highest levels of sports performance.

A Proven Track Record in Collegiate & Professional Sports

Prior to his move to Arizona, Sal spent two years as the Head Strength Coach for the University of Connecticut Men’s Basketball Team, where he rebuilt the team's performance program by focusing on physical strength, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle habits. Under his guidance, the student-athletes saw significant improvements in their performance on the court.

Before UConn, Sal spent six years as the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for UCLA Football, where he was instrumental in preparing athletes for the NFL. His expertise helped develop 31 NFL draft picks, including six first-round selections. Athletes trained under Sal consistently set personal-best records at the NFL Combine, solidifying his reputation as one of the top performance coaches in the country.


During his time at UCLA, Sal also pioneered a Performance Nutrition Program to support each athlete's rigorous training schedule and competitive demands. His collaboration with UCLA’s Sports Medicine team to develop injury prevention and rehabilitation programs was critical in keeping athletes at their peak performance.

NFL Expertise

Sal’s career also includes nine years in the NFL, where he led the strength and conditioning programs for the Atlanta Falcons and the New York Jets. His time in the NFL honed his skills in high-performance training and injury prevention at the highest level of competition, giving him unparalleled experience in developing athletes who need to perform at their best on game day.
